Course Description:
A magnificent setting overlooking the D-Day beaches, close to the Normandy American Cemetery where almost 10,000 casualties are at rest. The course was liberated by the American 1st Independence Day on June 7, 1944 and a few scenes of 'Saving Private Ryan' were filmed on this course. There are three 9-hole courses: The Sea - 6th hole overlooking the English Channel at the charming fishing port of Port en Bessin. The Pond - Quite challenging and is for the more experienced golfer. The Hedgerow - Featuring shades of different green and rhododendrons. In the summer, players and visitors gather on the terrace. Please note, Omaha Beach is approximately 75 mintues from Deauville.
